Abstract
Some new thermotrop liquid crystals derived from p-aminobenzoate of cholest eryl were studied by thermal methods. The experimental DSC and observed usi ng the Boetius thermomicroscopy data were analysed and applied to calculate some thermodynamic transition functions (Delta H-tr and Delta S-tr), betwe en the mezophases. The influence of the various substituents was discussed.
