Abstract
A new practical method for the regioselective nucleophilic aromatic alkylat ion of o- or p-methoxy-substituted aromatic carboxylic acids via their trie thylcarbinyl ester derivatives by conducting the reactions with alkyl/aryl Grignard reagents in toluene has been developed.
