Cd. Partidos et al., THE POTENTIAL OF COMBINATORIAL PEPTIDE LIBRARIES FOR THE IDENTIFICATION OF INHIBITORS OF TNF-ALPHA MEDIATED CYTOTOXICITY IN-VITRO, Immunology letters, 57(1-3), 1997, pp. 113-116
The use of random peptide libraries has recently received considerable
attention as a new tool for identifying novel therapeutic molecules.
The libraries represent an enormous number of peptide sequences displa
yed either on the virion surface of filamentous a solid phase syntheti
c support. In this minireview we summarize our recent findings on the
use of combinatorial peptide libraries to identify antagonists of the
biological activities of TNF-alpha, a cytokine which plays a key role
in immune and inflammatory responses. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science B.V.
