Abstract
Equivalent circuits of the ladder type for the process M+ + e = M in a mixed solution of two salts MA + CA are obtained within the framework s of a new generalized model (GM) of the faradaic impedance, the tradi tional model (TM), and the Randles-Ershler model (RE). A method for ca lculating the impedance spectra in mixed solutions of the mc MA + (1 - m)c CA type with a constant ionic strength, which uses the model theo ry of the electrical double layer, is developed. The calculations carr ied out for a set of adsorption and kinetic parameters show that the e ffect of the supporting-electrolyte concentration on the impedance spe ctra for such systems determined within the frameworks of GM, TM, and RE proves to be substantially different.
