Va. Marichev, ELECTROCHEMICAL INCORPORATION OF CATIONS BY THE CONTACT ELECTRORESISTANCE TECHNIQUE, Russian journal of electrochemistry, 33(6), 1997, pp. 653-659
The technique of contact electroresistance (CER) is shown to be feasib
le and of promise for in situ studying the initial stages of electroch
emical incorporation (ECI) of cations. ECI is found to increase CER of
metals, which makes it possible to determine ECI potentials and inves
tigate the process kinetics. By the example of ECI into copper, silver
, and zinc, the CER technique is shown to produce results that do not
contradict the available literature data. Potentials of ECI of cations
from acid and neutral solutions into copper, platinum, iron, titanium
, and tungsten are determined.
