Abstract
Four commercial carbon fibers are compared for their ability to form a stro ng carbon/epoxy interface, both in the dry condition and after exposure to a hot/wet environment. This is done through use of single-fiber-fragmentati on-testing. acoustic emission and light optical microscopy. The results ind icate large differences between this commercial fibers.
