Abstract
In this article the numerical method for extracting diffraction coeffi cients of wedge structures is extended to calculate diffraction coeffi cients of wedges with the corrugated surfaces for which no closed-form expressions exist. Extensive numerical results are given, and they ma y be useful in design and engineering applications. We also provide so me assessment of the diffraction coefficients of artificially soft sur faces derived more recently. (C) 1997 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
