Abstract
A novel synthesis technique for reflector-array feeds is presented. It consists of a quadratic programming algorithm for global optimization with constraints that are used to control the spillover radiation of the antenna. The method is capable of compensating for feed-phase aber rations and surface distortions, and also provides a prescribed apertu re amplitude distribution with constant phase, which is useful to cont rol side-lobe levels.
