Fm. Stupak, The Chukchudu graben and some problems of the Mesozoic geology and copper mineralization of the Udokan Ridge (Transbaikalia), GEOL GEOFIZ, 41(11), 2000, pp. 1582-1593
This paper presents new data on the geology, age, and structure of Mesozoic
magmatites and related ore occurrences of copper and molybdenum in the cen
tral part of the Udokan Ridge.
It has been established that Mesozoic magmatites compose the Udokan polychr
onous area of magmatism, which began to form in the Precambrian. Its format
ion is associated with the existence of the long-lived center of endogenic
activity beneath the Udokan Ridge.
It is suggested that the Udokan basic magmas are rich in copper ores, which
may be the result of enrichment of mantle substratum with copper at the de
pths of magma generation.
