Abstract
We report a case of 56-year-old woman with a 15 year history of drug-refrac tory paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardias. Echocardiographic examinatio n showed the presence of atrial septal aneurysm (ASA) without any other car diac abnormalities. Focal atrial tachycardia originating at the lower borde r of ASA was diagnosed. A single radiofrequency pulse delivered at the site with earliest activation terminated and cured the arrhythmia. The procedur e was feasible and without any complications. To our knowledge, this is the first report of RF ablation of focal atrial tachycardia in a patient with ASA.
