Abstract
The progress of a transformed phase into an elastic-plastic parent phase is simulated by a growing sphere. The transformation is accompanied by a dila tational volume change. The strain and stress state in the full space is pr esented. In addition, the local and global energy terms are calculated. Fin ally the thermodynamic forces on the interface are derived. Also strain har dening is considered.
