TOTAL VAPOR-PRESSURE MEASUREMENTS FOR HEPTANE PLUS 1-PENTANOL, PLUS 2-PENTANOL, PLUS 3-PENTANOL, PLUS 2-METHYL-1-BUTANOL, PLUS 2-METHYL-2-BUTANOL, PLUS 3-METHYL-1-BUTANOL, AND PLUS 3-METHYL-2-BUTANOL AT 313.15K
Jm. Rhodes et al., TOTAL VAPOR-PRESSURE MEASUREMENTS FOR HEPTANE PLUS 1-PENTANOL, PLUS 2-PENTANOL, PLUS 3-PENTANOL, PLUS 2-METHYL-1-BUTANOL, PLUS 2-METHYL-2-BUTANOL, PLUS 3-METHYL-1-BUTANOL, AND PLUS 3-METHYL-2-BUTANOL AT 313.15K, Journal of chemical and engineering data, 42(4), 1997, pp. 731-734
Total vapor pressure measurements at 313.15 K are reported for binary
systems of heptane with each of seven pentanol isomers: 1-pentanol, 2-
pentanol, 3-pentanol, 2-methyl-1-butanol, 2-methyl-2-butanol, 3-methyl
-1-butanol, and 3-methyl-2-butanol. The results were obtained using a
Van Ness type apparatus and were fitted to the modified Margules equat
ion using Barker's method. The four-parameter modified Margules equati
on represents the data to within an average absolute deviation of appr
oximately 0.03 kPa.
