Abstract
We theoretically analyze the properties of Fabry-Perot etalons which c onsist of photorefractive-crystal plates with asymmetric mirror reflec tance. Peak transmissions and non-reciprocities are enhanced significa ntly compared with the symmetric photorefractive etalons. The effect o f material absorption is also considered.
