Abstract
We used iron probe to study how doping elements are incorporated into a-alu mina powders by the impregnation method. Although perturbed by relaxation p henomena, Mossbauer spectroscopy proved to be a fast and informative tool t o follow the incorporation of iron. On the basis of Mossbauer data, optical absorption and thermoluminescence of the samples were also discussed. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
