Abstract
We report a comparative study of the electrical resistivity under hydrostat ic pressure up to 18 kbar of the quasi-two-dimensional conductors (PO2)(4)( WO3)(2m) (m = 4, 5, 6) and eta -Mo4O11, which show Peierls transitions towa rds a charge density wave state. The pressure dependences of the transition temperatures are discussed in relation with the hidden nesting properties of these oxides. The results for eta -Mo4O11 are compared with previous wor ks.
