In the course of a meat inspection of wild boars 45 animals could be e
xamined parasitologically. The prevalences of endoparasites found in t
he intestine is shown in Table 1 according to age and sex of the anima
ls. Each of the wild boars was infected with endoparasites: The most f
requent parasitic nematodes were species of the genus metastrongylus i
n the lungs (100%), followed by Globocephalus urosubulatus as a parasi
te of small intestine (95.6%), Physocephalus sexalatus in the stomach
(73.3%) and Oesophagostomum dentatum in the colon (53.3%, cp. Tab. 1).
Trichuris suis could be shown in only some animals (15.6%), Ascaris s
uum, however, was not found. Larvae of Trichinella spiralis and also c
estodes, metacestodes and trematodes could not be shown.
