Abstract
Maria Magdalena Aguera de Doucet passed away September 6, 1999. Her life wa s all too short. Nonetheless, she left a legacy of academic and scientific achievements and many personal and professional bonds. She will he remember ed by the numerous students she taught at Cordoba University as a Professor of Parasitology, and by her colleagues around the world.
