Abstract
Dielectric properties of non-linear organic crystals of acetoacetanilide ar e studied before and after irradiation. Crystals are irradiated by 120 MeV Ag13+ ions. The variation of dielectric constant, dielectric loss, ac condu ctivity and the loss factor of both unirradiated and irradiated samples are measured, at different fluences. The defects produced due to irradiation, cause an increase in dielectric constant. At higher fluence, i.e. 10(12) io ns/cm(2), the defects are found to anneal out. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B. V.
