Abstract
The effect of ozonation on the ability of humic acid to complex/coagulate w ith copper in aqueous solution was explored. Solutions of commercial humic acid were ozonized for various time periods and changes in total organic ca rbon, aromatic organic carbon vs, total organic carbon, total acidity, and copper complexation capacity of the humic acid were measured. The results s howed that the ability of humic acid to complex copper decreased with expos ure to ozone.
