Abstract

We investigate inelastic cold collisions in a Rb-Cs mixed-species trap wher e the rubidium trap loss rate was measured. We present the experimental res ults and a qualitative discussion for the observation. These studies are re levant for high-resolution atomic and molecular spectroscopy, and for the p roduction of mixed-species Bose-Einstein condensates.
