We investigate the influence of the R-parity violating couplings lambda, la
mbda', and lambda" on the branching ratio of b --> s gamma in the leading l
ogarithmic approximation. The operator basis is enlarged and the correspond
ing gamma matrix calculated. The matching conditions receive new contributi
ons from the R-parity violating sector. Comparison with experiment is rathe
r difficult due to the model dependence of the result.
