Abstract
A new, single step synthesis of glycidyl ethers from an epihalohydrin (X = Cl, Br) and seven fatty alcohols is proposed in a poorly hydrated solid/liquid heterogeneous basic medium. The selectivity and the yiel ds of the reaction are high. The structural analysis and the physicoch emical characteristics of the synthesized products are reported.
