This report looks at the recent publication prepared by the UN Population D
ivision which examines the demographic situation in most advanced nations,
but especially in Europe. With fertility at incredibly low rates, the quest
ion must be asked: "Will Europe run out of people?" The UN report looks at
how much immigration would be needed to maintain current population size, a
ssuming that fertility rates remain at present levels. In this review, the
implications of such momentous movements are also discussed.
