Abstract
Vinylborono-alpha -amino acids undergo Suzuki coupling with vinylic or arom atic halides, allowing an easy access to stereodefined unsaturated nonprote inogenic alpha -amino acids. With cesium fluoride as the base, the protecti ve groups are not affected.
