Abstract
The effective one-step synthesis of conjugated arylenimines from the corres ponding alpha'-aryl-alpha,beta -enones and amines is carried out in the pre sence of TiCl4. Although these adducts are air- and moisture-sensitive, the y have thus been easily obtained with fair yields, while some other literat ure procedures were unsuccessful.
