Abstract
Facile syntheses of L-eritadenine (8a), (2S,3R)-9-(2,3,4-trihydroxybut yl) purines (4a and 4b), and (2S,3S)-9-(2,3,4-trihydroxybutyl)adenine (6a) were achieved by using 9-D-(2,3-O-isopropylideneribityl)purines ( 1a and 1b) as a chiral pool.
