Abstract
The present paper summarizes the influence of diets enriched with fibr es on voluntary feed intakes, bodyweight changes of dogs and feces. Fi bres affect nutrients digestibility by different mechanisms. The induc ed changes vary according to the types of fibre-soluble, insoluble or both- and are, on the whole, quite similar with dogs as in other monog astric species.
