Abstract
Characteristics of pulsed flows formed in a rarefied gas by a superson ic jet nozzle with a high-speed electromagnetic valve were investigate d. The gasodynamic parameters in the quasistationary portion of the pu lse are well reproduced. This electromagnetic valve can be used for mo deling gas flows under conditions of high retardation pressures and la rge instantaneous consumptions of the working gas.
