Abstract
The molecular component F-0 of the friction force (by Derjaguin) between fi bers in solutions of cationic surfactants-tetrabutylammonium iodide and pol y(ethylene imine)-was estimated from adhesion forces and the friction coeff icient measured in point contacts between individual fibers. The nonmonoton ic character of the dependence of F-0 on the surfactant concentration was e xplained on the basis of a comparison of these data with experimental data on the zeta potential and the adsorption.
