Abstract
We describe the design and software implementation of a large class of algo rithms based on ideas from chaotic dynamics, symmetry and iterated function systems. We also indicate some of the uses of these algorithms, and the as sociated software, in artistic endeavors as well as in classes for senior s tudents in Art and Design. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science Ltd.
