Abstract
Amended diagnoses of Austroperla and the family Austroperlidae are giv en. A revised description is given of Austroperla cyrene (Plecoptera : Austroperlidae), type species of the monotypic genus Austroperla and the sole austroperlid in New Zealand. Included are notes on its distri bution and biology.
