Abstract
Polyfibrillar polypropylene (PP) - polyethylene terephthalate (PET) blend f ibres were prepared using the reactive compatibiliser containing amide grou ps and other additives. The modified PET (PET FK) as dispersed phase create s long microfibrils in PP matrix, with diameter about 0.5 mum. The scale of the developed disperse dyes for dyeing of model fabrics made from a blend of PP-PET FK fibres was used in experimental work. Dyeing conditions were i nvestigated and colour properties including fastness to washing rubbing and reduction clearing were evaluated in dependence on composition of blend fi bres and temperature of dyeing.
