I. Krucinska et al., Studies on selecting conditions of manufacturing of composites glass/PA6 from hybrid textile products, FIBRES TEXT, 8(4), 2000, pp. 88-91
The results of investigation into selection of manufacturing conditions for
composites from glass fibres and molten PA fibres are presented. Selection
of optimal values of temperature, time and pressure applied during formati
on of this new type of composite required definition of the physico-chemica
l changes taking place in polyamide fibres. The evaluation of these changes
was completed during a three-step investigation. In the first step, change
s in the physico-chemical properties of polymers in a form of granules used
for production of fibres were investigated. In the second step, physico-ch
emical changes of moulds made from PA6 fibres were determined. In the third
step, mechanical tests of composites were conducted. Based on the analysis
of all test results, optimal conditions for manufacturing composites were
selected.
