Abstract
In this paper, we discuss the possibilities to improve the magnetic propert ies of low %Si laminated electrical steels. The main goal is to show numeri cally that a low %Si grade combined with an introduced Si-gradient approach es quite well the beneficial properties of the massive high %Si grade, For this purpose, the Preisach theory combined with magnetic field computations was used.
