Abstract
Novel microwave phase shifters consisting of coupled microstriplines on thi n ferroelectric films have been demonstrated recently. A theoretical model useful for predicting the propagation characteristics (insertion phase shif t, dielectric loss, impedance, and bandwidth) is presented here. The model is based on a variational solution for line capacitance and coupled strip t ransmission line theory.
