Abstract
Based on the thermodynamic evaluation of the Bi-Se system, expressions for the Gibbs energies of the melt and individual phases were derived. These ex pressions were used to calculate the Bi-Se phase diagram. The calculation r esults are in perfect agreement with experiment.
