Abstract
The effect of gamma irradiation on the dielectric permittivity and loss tan gent of (CH3)(2)NH2Ga(SO4)(2). 6H(2)O crystals was studied near the ferroel ectric transition at different frequencies. Irradiation was found to sharpl y reduce epsilon and tan delta at gamma doses below 5 x 10(7) R. At higher doses, epsilon and tan delta level off. With increasing gamma dose, the fer roelectric transition shifts to lower temperatures, irrespective of frequen cy.
