The crystal structure of the binary boride NdB4, (P4/mbm space group, a=7.1
775(3) Angstrom, c=4.0996(2) Angstrom, Z=2, V=211.20(1) Angstrom (3), rho =
4.070 gXcm(-3), mu =12.70 mm(-1), R=0.0378, wR2=0.0945 for 371 reflections
with F-o > 4 sigma (F-o)), was determined from single crystal X-ray diffrac
tion (diffractometer Enraf-Nonius CAD-4, Mo K alpha -radiation). The compou
