Abstract
A dispersive near-infrared Raman spectrometer was constructed using a photo multiplier with a new InP/InGaAsP photocathode which is well suited for 106 4 nm excitation. Totally fluorescence-free Raman spectra of normal and canc erous human lung tissues were obtained. The future possibility of Raman spe ctroscopic cancer diagnosis is discussed.
