Abstract
G-protein-coupled receptors have long been known to play a critical role in the recruitment and migration of leukocytes to areas of inflammation. This review will focus, however, on emerging data that G-protein-coupled recept ors can modulate cytokine production by antigen-presenting cells including interleukin-12 and tumor necrosis factor-alpha and may therefore play a sig nificant role in the regulation of innate and acquired immunity.
