A novel linearization method is proposed to increase the dynamic range of a
n electro-absorption modulator in suboctave bandwidth operation by exploiti
ng the fact that the phase of third-order intermodulation distortion varies
with the dc bias voltage. A reduction of 14 dB in IMD3 and a subsequent in
