On the prospects of water bearing formations isolation methods applicationin open hole within producing interval

Presented are shortcomings of traditionally applied technologies of wellsT preparation for running casing and cementing materials. Reviewed are differ ent technologies of shut-off operations in wells. A conclusion is made, tha t for efficient isolation of water bearing formations within producing inte rval, could be recomended a technology with application of: packers, prelim inary acid treatment of permeable formations within interval to be isolated , stable to formation waters influence material GPST, and, also, cement dis persant.
