It is discussed that different ways of interacting strings formed in high e
nergy nucleus-nucleus collisions are related to the chaoticity parameter la
mbda of Bose-Einstein correlations. Tn particular, in the case of percolati
on of strings, lambda shows a peculiar dependence on the string density, ve
ry similar to the dependence of the fractional average cluster size. In bot
h, the derivative on the string density is maximum at the critical point. T
his behaviour is compared to the existing experimental data showing a reaso
nable agreement. The experimental confirmation of this would be welcome.
