Abstract
Double parton collisions give important effects at the LHC and not only in the QCD sector. Given the relatively low treshold and the consequent large rate of production of b (b) over bar pairs, one expects a large background of double parton collisions to the Higgs boson production and decay via the b (b) over barW channel, which is one of the most promising discovery chan nels at the LHC, if the Higgs mass is below the W+W- threshold.
