Abstract
As part of a world-wide revision of the family Glyceridae Grube, 1850, seve n new species of the genus Glycera Savigny, 1818 are described, i.e., Glyce ra bassensis n. sp. from Australia, G. benhami n, sp. from New Zealand and the Tasman Sea, G. gilbertae n. sp. from the Gulf of Mexico, G. guatemalens is n.sp. from the Pacific coast of Central America, G. madagascariensis n. sp. from Madagascar, G. prosobranchia n. sp. from both sides of the Isthmus of Panama and the Pacific coast of Central America, and G. pseudorobusta n . sp. from the east coast of North America. A list of the valid species tog ether with their synonyms and an identification key for all species of Glyc era are presented.
