Abstract
A quasiparticle model with effective thermal gluon and quark masses is used
to derive a temperature T- and baryon chemical potential mu -dependent bag
constant B(mu, T). Consequences of such a bag constant are obtained on the
equation of state (EOS) for a deconfined quark-gluon plasma (QGP). (C) 200
