Abstract
A new species of Selliera is described from New Zealand. S. rotundifol ia is a rhizomatous perennial herb, and is distinguished from S. vadic ans by rotund leaves which are appressed to the ground, a shorter pedi cel, and smaller flowers. S. rotundifolia occurs on sand plains along the western coast of Wellington province and is considered to be an en dangered species.
