Abstract
The behaviour of three persistent pesticides was studied under the influenc e of microorganisms from a reservoir - Babeni lake - using lake water, sedi ment samples and laboratory analyses. The removal rate of the pesticides in 60 and 90 days was surveyed in lake samples and in spiked samples with dif ferent pesticides quantities. The removal percentages were different for wa ter and sediment in laboratory studies. The pesticides concentrations were revealed to be different, too. ill water and sediment from the same samplin g places. More or less efficient pesticides removal by microorganisms was n oted.
