In this paper. detailed measurements of magnetic behavior for La2/3Ca1/3Mn1
-xCxO3(0 less than or equal tox less than or equal to0.3) bulk materials fo
r magnetic tit-id up to 10T are reported. Samples with lower doping (less t
han or equal to 10%) are typically ferromagnets, whereas those with higher
doping (greater than or equal to 20%) show weak ferromagnetic behavior at l
ow temperatures. For 15% doping, some unusual magnetic behavior is observed
, especially in the range of the metamagmetic transition associated with a
sharp increase in magnetization near H-c similar to 2.8 T at low temperatur
es. A possible interpretation for the experimental observations is presente
