Abstract
The internal consistency and validity of the Diabetes Regimen Responsi bility Scale (DRRS) were examined in a sample of 49 youths. The DRRS d emonstrated adequate internal consistency, and most subscales correlat ed significantly with diabetes knowledge. Only the parent report on th e insulin administration scale and the child report on dietary managem ent correlated with metabolic control (glycosylated hemoglobin, HbA(1c )). Implications for research and practice are discussed.
